Margareta was born in Stockholm, has lived abroad for many years and since 2006 in the Apennine mountain range west of Bologna south of Parma / Italien

After that she started with a fellow student a design company. They worked for IKEA, Rörstrand, Borås Textil, Boda Shop and many foreign customers.

The paintings’ composition is developed in three dimensions, where the artwork is studied so that the shadows created by overlapping colour layers, become part of its depth - that is both loved and thought - when you first looked at the artwork.
On top of this the powerful weighted brushstrokes, a white layer, which floats, like clouds in the sky or a sailboat at sea, where the ultra-marine colour impart the rebel or deep wave in the background.
The landscape slides often into purely abstract, so the physical environment is reduced to a minimum by colours and shapes, geometry, symbolising pure thought or ideas, which brings us back to Impressionism in the French tradition.
